2017 Ford Explorer XLT
Looking to change the seating arrangement in my 2017 and I like how the 2020 is.
Can the 2020 2nd row seats bolt into a 2017 Explorer XLT? Anyone know if the mounting dimensions/pattern is the same?

Thanks

Considering they're built on 2 totally different chassis, I doubt it.

Welcome to the Forum.
FYI, there are posts in the 6th gen forum where a member wanted to switch out his Captain's chairs for a bench and was told that it wasn't possible because the mounting points were different, I'm guessing that would likely also apply to your 2017 XLT. Another mentioned his dealer told him they'd have "rip out" the Captain's chairs and install a bench and cot would be $3800 + tax. BTW, the 6th gen bench is a 35/30/35 split compared to the 5th gen 60/40.
