I was trying to fix my rear wiper and thought it was the relay, so i started switching it with other ones to see if it started working, and it didnt, so i go to start the explorer and it doesnt start. just clicks. the battery isnt dead, and it started like...10 mins prior.. so can someone help me?

that sucks dude!

did you make sure you put all of the relays back where you pulled them from?

my distribution box doesn't match up with the factory manual at all, so you might not be able to trust that.

I would say, look in you manual for the location of the starter relay and get that one to work. I'm not sure I can be any more helpful than that. sorry man, good luck!

well i didnt even remove the starter relay. only one i removed was the horn one, and the fuel...switch something or other. so thats the only thing i could see causing the problem but wouldnt it still start? the other two i removed were 8 and 10 which are rear wiper up and rear wiper down or something. I don't know what to do. I tried switching them around again but it still clicks. I know one is blown because i put that in the horn relay one and now it doesnt honk at all and if it does its very quiet. so I dunno

and after i try starting it and it doesnt go i hear a bunch of clicking under the dash.

hmmm, is it a bunch of REALLY fast click under the vehicle, or a few relay clicks under the dash?

is the theft light flashing slowly? does it stay on solid for three or four seconds after you turn the key to "on" and then turn off?

are you 100% positive your battery is good?

I know this is random stuff, but we need to eliminate a few options :p:

it could be my battery, because i switched all the relays to the horn and it barely works when i lock it. i dont get how though. i drove it 10 mins prior and didnt leave anything on.. like wtf.

well the only reason i think its good is cause i didnt leave anything on lol

Do you have a multimeter?

so i fixed the problem today. battery was dead. wasnt getting a good connection on the battery connectors so i boosted it and let it charge up, and the rear wiper thing was fixed just by pressing the rear washer thing and it started working.. so i duno what happened there
