Can I fit 15x8's on my 2002 Explorer Sport?

As the title says. Can I fit 15x8's on my Explorer Sport 02? A friend of mine said I should make sure because of my brakes. Stock rims are 16x7.

one way to find out.. i dont see why you couldnt, but it wouldnt hurt to test fit a 15" rim on there. do you know anyone with 15" ford rims?

15" rims came stock on the base model of sports I thought...

16x7 on mine...

I meant that if the 15" rims came on the sports then you shouldn't have a problem fitting them... I also have the 16x7 though but I feel like I've seen Sports with 15" teardrop rims before.

yeah my friend jake has an 01 sport and his came with 15s on it

Nice is the 01 sport the same gen as the 02 sport? Meaning that it would come with the same brakes....I mean the brakes look huge on my truck...
