Im pretty much new with this stuff and wanting to do things to my car now so bare with me!:)

ok so I talked to this guy on car domain and Im not sure what he all has, but he told me this:

"the suspension lift is CHEAP!!!!!.... 65-70 bucks for the rear shackles. $30 for the add a leafs. and those are SIMPLE to put in. the torsion twist up front is an easy 2 inches too. a 2 inch suspension lift is about $100..... $160 if you get it aligned after like you are supposed to. Good luck."

this is his explorer: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y159/ryanmagahis/773131_75_full.jpg

I like it and its pretty much what I'd like to go for

I have a 98 xlt 2wd all stock if that helps

He also has a 2inch body lift that we talked about before that conversation up there

If I really get all that, can I decently add in 33 inch tires or a little less wiht no problem?

If you have any suggestions as to what I should do or get or anything like that, list it for me please!

2 body lift and 2" suspension will clear 33's depending on your wheels and tires.

IMO skip the add a leaf and get warrior shackles instead.

Since you have a 2wd you can get 3" of lift or maybe even a little more in the front with a TT.

You are going to need 5" of total lift to clear 33's and maby some fender trimming for them to clear.

If you have a 4.0 you will need a set of 4.56 gears as well if you want your Explorer to move.

i fit 33'' bf a/t on my 96 4x4 X without any tt or shackles or anything else. Just the pa853 3" body lift...

Sweet thanks for all the help guys! secondly, do 2wd's have torsion bars and do they have it in the front only, rear only, or both? Because Im reading this thread, http://www.explorer4x4.com/torsionbars.html , and I was wondering if I could raise my torsion bars 2inches (max that I know of) and clear 31's. My cousin said I dont have CV joints because mine is 2wd so I wouldnt ruin anything. Not that he was saying I could go past the 2 inches. But yeah I would definantly just go for this if its possible!

there was a guy on here that said he fit 31" on his stock explorer so i think u should be fine running 31"...

Yeah thats true I could just get the 31's right now I guess. But I'd also like it to be a bit higher. The tire on mine right now is 29" and so if I figure I do that torsion twist also, I can have atleast a max of 4" that I know of all together without having to spend much! = )
Im not sure if I need anything else though, like to contribute to what I want to do.
