There are a lot of dust under the hood. I am planning to clean those tubes. In the owner' manual, Ford encourage users to clean the dirt and grease. So, I am wondering if I can spray some water on those tube, then, wipe with wet cloth. Is it feasible? Do I have to pay attention to something?

i power wash my engine bay all the time just make sure its cool not hot or it can mess it up and stay clear of battery and fuse block

Cover the distributor coil. It is right in the front of the intake if it is 5L.

i spray mine off with a power washer all the time on all my vehicles.

stay away from electrical connections with direct pressure,
spray with a degreaser first, i like simple green because it is environmentally safe

neighbors think im crazy, but also i like to take my leaf blower and blow out puddles and stuff after, and wait till dry before i start

Yes, avoid electrical components and dont use high pressure.

I was under the hood of my explorers and other all the time. You can use a pressure washer if you are VERY careful about where you use the pressure and where you dont.

Just a sprayer on a garden hose will do fine though for most dirt and grease removal. I recommend some foaming engine degreaser for the block but avoid the plastics with it. I just use a degreaser mixed with hot water in a garden sprayer and a selection of bottle/toilet brushes to clean the nook and crannies.
