can i use an aftermarket slide key?

dis a googlle search cuz i want a remote for my 2000 XLT and found https://www.ikeyless.com/vehicles/Ford/Explorer/2001/1000525 its an uncut slide key and remote combo, they have it listed to work with a 2001. looks cool but was wondering if it would work and if anyone knew how much
a dealer charges to cut and program a key.

So it's like the vw keys? I would imagine it could be done, but the the key has to be programmed to work with the PATS system in your truck. That would be something that the dealer would have to do.
