96 XLT
I have a 96 XLT SOHC. I planned on lowering it using the lowering blocks and I want to put 20 inch rims on it. People keep saying stuff about spacing etc. and all that. I just want to know what is the best for my truck to give it the clean aggressive look? I don't want my wheels popped out (low rider style) and I want to have fairly low profile tires.

I know the lug pattern is 5X4.5 and I know I plan on going with (I assume) 8.5 inch wide tires on the 20s. I just need to know the other information. The backspacing etc. etc. to make sure it looks right in the wheel well and has an aggressive stance.

Please help with all the numbers I need. I never knew wheels would be this confusing... I only want to make sure I get the best wheels the first time and I don't mess anything up with sizes in any way.

I guess all I really need is for someone who personally has a lowered 96 (or same model) explorer with 20s to let me know what tire they have and if everything is good on it. Please?
