I need to know what this is. The top part snapped off so now the larger part rests on top but bangs if I go over a bump, I have to go to school tonight, and I dont know if its safe to drive on the freeway. Any help would be great. Thank you so much.

anti-sway bar linkage. Cheap at any parts store.

P.S. sorry I know this is my first post. Ive looked on here for advice before, but I just have no idea what this part is. This is a pic that I stumbled on from another thread, but it didnt explain this part.

Thank you! Is it ok to drive without it today? Can I do it myself without needing a lift? Sorry, more of a nerd than a car guy. Wish I knew it. It would save me a lot of money.

Yeah easy fix. Just unbolt both sides and pull out the broken side. Throw in the new parts and bolt back up. No need to jack it up or anything. Just chalk the tires.

You can drive without it. Just drive sane!

Thanks guys. Very appreciated. Kinda puts me at ease since im dropping a lot on books right now. Thanks for the website as well. Very cool.

You can drive on it, but be careful in the turns as it'll heel over more than usual.

I've snapped a few sway bar endlinks, and had Ford put a couple on under a recall on mine.

Takes about 20 minutes for me to replace them, without ever jacking it off the ground, just turn the wheels for clearance, and you are set.
