can you rebuild the stock alternator?

in my quest to have as much power as possible for my system i was wondering if i could have the stock alt (or one i buy from a salvage yard) rebuilt to be around the 200 amp range. i already have a 1000 CCA energizer battery and that cant hold enough power for all my lights and my stereo. TIA

I think the larger units have a larger housing for a bigger winding, and brushes. I have 140 amp, and it is wider than stock.
