Dang, time flies!!! I last did a brake job in July 2007. It's time to do them again. Last time I did this I bought new slotted/cross-drilled rotors and threw the old factory ones away. While I was at it I painted the calipers and put new wheels and tires on.
Should I have the slotted/cross-drilled rotors turned or should I just chuck them and get new ones? I've read where some folks have had them turned but I don't have experience with this and thought I'd ask anyone knowledgeable or who has direct experience having this done. Also, what is the expected cost to have them turned (if you can)?
The cost of replacing those slotted/crossed-drilled rotors is $217 for all 4 delivered. That's $54.25 per rotor.
