Cannister Vent Solenoid

Has anyone installed one of these? Mounts to the cannister above the spare tire. Are there any special tools needed to remove the hoses?

When I had the spare out a couple days ago, I inspected my vent solenoid. There's a plastic guard that has to be removed to gain access . It dosen't look to be a hard job to change at all.

Nothing special. You do not get the plastic bracket that holds the solenoid to the frame with a new solenoid. Solenoid is likely rusted and it will not slip off. I cut the top of the bracket to get it off and used two criss crossed ty-wraps to hold it on the new one. No special tools needed to remove vent hose connections.
