cant find a lift..help

I have a 99 explorer XLT 4 door, i went around to all the local dealers to buy a 3"suspention lift, but they told me that they didnt make any kind of lift for explorers from '94 on up.....they also told me the only way i could get more height id to change the spindles in the front and add a leaf in the back..is this true or are they lieing to my face??:exp:

I have a '99 Explorer XLS and was looking to get a 3" lift on mine it as well. I have been to the main place that deals with lifts in my town and they have given me the exact response they gave you and the suspension lift they suggested could cost me around the $900 area including installation if I do everything through them. So I'm not sure what to do either!!!

Lots of lift options out there. Many of us with second gen Explorers with lifts. To name a few:

Torsion twist: front 2" lift
3" front 2wd lift spindles
2 and 3" body lifts
4" superlift and skyjacker susp lifts
2" rear lift warrior shackles
lift addaleaves
aftermarket leaves
SOA rear lift

And some more.

What's wrong with a spindle lift(assuming it's 2wd)? Spindles in the front with good shocks and a new spring pack in the rear would be ideal IMO.
