I read that it is on my passenger side valve cover but I still can't seem to find it for some reason. Is it hidden somewhere where it would be hard to see or should it be jumping out at me? Does anyone happen to have any diagrams or pictures or a ranger engine so I have an idea where it might be? I'd like to at least check it since it's been a while since it was replaced. Thanks.

IIRC, on my '93 (4.0 OHV) the PCV is on the driver's side valve cover, very close to the firewall. There is a short (maybe 3") piece of hose attached to it, and it is a press-fit into a grommet in the valve cover. In other words, no twisting required - just pull straight out, and push straight in.

It would help if you would tell us which engine you have.
