cant find the IAC valve

i have a nice pulsing idle thing, and i wanted to clean the IAC valve. the only problem was i couldnt find it. can anyone help me out and tell me where it is on a 97 sohc4.0? thanks for your help.

LOL I just went and snapped that same photo for him, but you beat me to it.

That's an OHV picture. On your SOHC it's under the plastic engine cover... remove the four 9/32 bolts, then the cover and you'll see it right in the middle.

thanks. i sprayed it down with electrical cleaner and let it dry.
