Can't get 12v outlets to shut off

I'm beating my head against the wall. I have a 2015 PIU and I cannot get the 12v outlets to shut off. I've tried using forscan. I've tried the coding I've seen but I might be doing it wrong.

Has anyone else had this problem? It's making me wonder if the department rewired them hot.

I believe they do shut off. They either shut off with the Voltage being too low or via the timeout.

I remember I had the same issue before but changed the setting. If you use the on/off hex value, you will need to open your car door to have it switch off otherwise it will stay on once the key is turned off or if the car detects the car voltage is too low. Hope this helps!

If you trace the cigarette socket wire, does it look like it's been altered in anyway? I.e., spliced to another wire?

Checked the wiring and its fine. I'm guessing it just doesnt work on the 13-15's.

How long have you left the vehicle turned OFF before checking the outlets? I'm not familiar with the PIU, but certain items may remain active until a predetermined timeout.

Do they shut off if you pull the fuse(s) assigned to them in the owner guide? That will tell you with almost certainty if they've been rewired.

Which outlets are you talking about? There can be several.

My unit only has two on the bottom of the center dash.

You could just rewire them- disconnect the constant 12v and connect it to a switched ACC/Run wire.

Unless there is something left plugged into the outlets after the ignition is turned OFF, it shouldn't be an issue.
