can't remove overhead console 09 Adrenaline

Need help!!! Anyone know how to remove the overhead console (09 Sport Trac) has a pwr sunroof so the console has map lights, at front, controls for roof, slider etc, midway, and the back is nothing. There is no storage compartment.
I got the map light lense off but that led nowhere. I tried pulling down on the console but it's in there good! No push pins or clips. How does this thing come off?

Anyone go any ideas!

You might be right.....that's what I'm afraid of!!!
It's an Adrenaline and the back up sensors are not avail. as option for some reason. So I need to install it myself and i want to install the display in the overhead. I've always had F150s but the Adrenaline caught my eye when my lease was up. If the console is ugly to remove I'm going to change plans

I to had an f-150 2001 loved it but the adrenalin caught my eye as well and since I got an 08 I saved over 10,000 off sticker. It was a no brainer so I traded the old girl in I still miss her.

Ya.....I wanted an 08 to save some bucks but the demo was sold. I ordered an 09 with V8 all wheel dr. nav etc and it cost me $38,700 Candadian $ plus txs. Every 3 years I leased 3 F150s for my business. Those trucks were unbelievable. Never in the shop. 90,000 miles. So when I brought in my 06 from lease return I kept looking at the Adrenaline then at the 09 F150 the the Adrenaline, and so on.... I said to hell with it..how oftenFord make a truck that looks like it just came out of a mod shop. I was told by the dealer that it's the last year for the Adrenaline. Who knows! Anyway luv it. Handles great and lots of power never got stuck in the snow at all.

The overhead console does remove, and is not that tough. I have a friend who added Homelink to his overhead console and he said it wasn't too bad to remove. I'll see if I can get the instructions from him and post them up. I will be doing this soon as I want Homelink as well. Can't believe they didn't include that from the factory.

Funny though, most of the missing items can be installed. My friend has added Homelink, heated seats, power locking tailgate and backup sensors to his '08 STA.

Ya.... the 09 came loaded with leather, heated seats, dual climate pwer roof and rear slider ipod yada ,yada.... but no rear back up sensors... no option to remove stuff except nav. Can you really add pwer locking tailgate (after market)? I really appreciate you checking about the console for me!!!

I'd like to hear about the power lock on the tailgate myself! Also, don't get too caught up on the backup sensors, they are annoying, and not very accurate at all. Can they be permanently turned off (without destroying the system) easily? I can temporarily do so through the console system, but it resets every time the car is started.

I believe you just pull down, straight down on the cover. It comes off just prior to the point you think it will shatter on a hundred pieces
