Good morning everyone;I've changed the cluster lights twice with LED #s194 blue and the second time with the white ones, on both occasions I noticed that the two corner gauges are not illuminating. Today I'm taking it apart, again, for the third time!!!:help: Is there any way to test/look at it before re- installment? :us: thank you Truker

i don't know about testing the cluster out of the vehicle. i guess you could try to figure out which pin provides power when the lights are on with a VOM and the ground would be a black wire.

you do realize that LED bulbs will only work when installed the correct way, right?

Also the style of LED will determine how well it works behind the instrument panel. You need one that shines light in all directions uniformly - A lot of LEDs only shine in one direction and will create light and dark spots. Something like this:

My 2 cents, most aftermarket LEDs are so poorly made that they have a much higher failure rate than regular bulbs. I would just get some good 194 bulbs and stick them in there, they will last another 10 years.

Make sure there isnt a pin missing in the connector on the cluster...

I took out the cluster and,as per 1992 fordgreen, masoghetti and koda2000 the pins are all intact; The LEDs',i have do shine all around and on top.I took out the two that were not working and turned them around; still no light so i tried them on my tag plate socket and they work! So is it the LED or the cluster sockets? My money is on masoghetti's 2 cents; poorly made indeed. I,m thinking i don't know if this is going to work and i don't want to dismantle the dash again! So I've replaced the two with regular bulbs. nighttime has come and my colorful bright cluster is one of a kind to say the least, speed needle is red,and the others are pink background is purple and grey:us:
