Can't Sync BB 9800 TORCH

Has anyone tried to sync the blackberry 9800 torch? I have tried 50 or so times, all I get is sync failed. Sometimes it fails before I get the passcode all in.

I haven't tried myself... since I don't have my XLT yet (still waiting... ugh)... but supposedly the BB Torch is the one an only phone (so far) that syncs up and works with all the features including the texting to voice feature. But the guy that had it was from Canada... so if you do get it synced up and working... let me know if the texting feature actually works. I am very curious (before I actually purchase the Torch) and this will be the perfect test since I am also from NY. Are you on the AT&T network?

I can't find anyone else with a phone that works with all the features, including the texting to voice feature. It's just crazy!

Good luck syncing up... it must be a simple fix (hopefully). And ENJOY your new Explorer!! I'm so jealous! :

that guy was me and YES my BB Torch works great with Sync. It connect almost everytime i get in(for saome reason the odd time it doesn't).

the texting feature works, but like i said before, i get more BBM's so i wish it would also read them as well, actually come to think of it i have never treid it to see if it does.. ??? I will try tonight..

My BB 9700 won't send and receive texts but my fiances 9780 will.... Almost the same phone so a little frustrated!

Thanks for the response. I figured that I would try it again seeing that somebody got it to work. I tried it the first time and failed, then a couple more times, then sync timed out. Tried it again, was able to get pass code in and it synced.

With my BB Storm, after failing a half a dozen times or more, I finally discovered that I needed to press the return key quickly. If I entered the code and waited a few seconds it would give me failed message. Because it went to that so quickly I didn't realize that the "enter" was needed and thought it was just having trouble pairing. Now that I press the Return key it pairs every time Well, the 3 times that I have paired it anyway. Had to re-pair twice after doing resets on MFT.

The 9780 will? Might need to upgrade the work BB (9700 now).

Problem is, I use the EVO for texting

I have already said it works with my torch, i think they are setup the same with different carriers so it should work with them all..

I know you did... and thank you for that. I just want to make sure it works before I purchase... since he is in the US and also in NY where I am, that makes it even better! You know... it's like measure twice, cut once! Before I upgraded, I just wanted to be sure!

My sync and blackberry connect and then disconnect after about a min or so. Any suggestions?
