I had an Ungo, Clifford and an Audiovox. The Audiovox (Prestige) worked by far the best, furthest, cheapest, more functions and less false alarms. Thats my .02

I have installed a dozen Audiovox (prestige) alarms in various vehicles with no issues (other than the key chain clip breaking on earlier model when dropped (pre '97). The Audiovox alarm in my Truck is 15yrs old, used every day and works perfectly...

Where can you find manuals/diagrams online to install alarms on certain cars?

I have a Viper 791XV i love it. The 2 way is nice. I was staying at the beach last year and had my remote go off in the room. Ran out thru the lobby at 1am only to find out some lady had her door grabbed by the wind and hit my X. Sort of funny. I ran out in my short and a shirt like i was goign to tear some one up.

Gotta love the two way feature! I got the same alarm and I love it !

How did you guys install the 791XV? Yourselves?

in theory, the 791 can only be sold and installed by authorized retailers (MUST be installed by authorized retailer). you;ll find some sellers online that sell them but often get pulled when contacted by DEI's legal team

the whole viper line, not just the 791. some of their other lines too.

anything made by DEI and you shouldnt have issues if installed properly. i love my viper 791xv

clifford, python 2 way alarms, same as the viper.

i also suggest the Avital 4400. also by DEI. it's two way with some other nice features on the remote
