i have a 1997 mercury mountaineer awd v8...and when i go over any bumps or dips in the road the suspension makes a clonking or kinda bumping and knocking sound...also the suspension sounds like it is cracking...if any ideas on why it is doing this please respond...also i have one more question...when i am stop at a red light or a stop sign my car idles really really low and the whole car shakes and acts like it is going to bog out...if any info. please respond....thanks

Check your balljoints for the clanking and look at the filter(air) and the throttle body for the low idle(it may need a clean job).
