cast iron manifolds?

Okay guys so I've done some thread searching about swapping the 98+ cast-iron exhaust manifolds into my 96 5.0 to get rid of the Leaky tubular Style. I'm getting a complete mix of responses from "it's a great Swap "to "it'll never work with those heads". I don't know who to believe so has anyone done or tried this so i can put it to rest in my mind ? Especially since I already have the new manifolds waiting but don't want to go through the trouble of removing the fossilized OEMs if something won't work. Would super appreciate any help

As far as fitting, they will fit fine. It's probably the the sparkplug angle difference between the 2 style heads that might be a problem.

I have no idea on the subject as far as the plug angles but they will bolt on and the ports will line up just fine.
