My cat converter has a hole. It has to be replaced along with the catback exhaust.

1) What brands did you have luck with - I am considering walker or eastern. I know aftermarket exhaust can be hit or miss...

2) The bolts holding it on look like mushroom rivets, I guess they have be drilled out for new hardware. May not be worth to save the thread on the pipe,
 






Aftermarket cats do not seem to have studs, but the OEM one shows 3 studs.

Can the what is left of the nuts be cut flush with the Y pipe flange? The upper one looks a bit hard to get too, but there is barely any nut left.

Hard to tell what is threaded. I guess a few love taps with air hammer should separate it if there is no thread.
