Hello all, a week ago, my transmission cooler line was leaking transmission fluid all over my cat converter, causing plumes of smoke when it hit the red hot cat. Yesterday, I cut out the leak area in the line and replaced it with a rubber hose, clamping it good and tight on both ends. After checking for leaks, all was good. I then took the Ex to the car wash for some under body washing to clear all of the fluid out from the cat. Upon further driving for the rest of the day, and when I returned home this morning, the cat is still smoking like crazy. I checked the line and the leak doesn't exist anymore. Why is the cat still smoking? BTW, my 'check engine' light came on over a month ago and the trouble code states something about my O2 sensor. Anyone know what's going on?
