Welcome to the site! :bounce: There's a lot of cool stuff here along with some great members.

Just a little Friendly FYI, this site does not condone the removal of the cats in any form. You prob won't get a lot of good feedback from this.

Ford designed their engines to run quite efficiently. There's not much gain to be made from removing the cats. The only other option is to install a high flow cat to keep everything legal.

Leave it on. Or get yourself a good high flow cat. Taking it off is a porr not to mention illegal idea

I agree with TheRookie. Just get a good high flow cat.

Living in a no-smog state, it is very common here for people to either remove or "gut" their cats. Unfortunately Ford has thiers set up with a pre-cat and post-cat O2 sensors. SO I would have to side with those who say to go with a high-flow cat if anything.

Going along with that, what is a good place to pic up a nice but affordable high flow?

Magnaflow makes nice ones you can pick up for a decent price. Check summit or jcwhitney

Gutting a cat is a foolish practive. The claim is more power from better exhaust flow. BZZ, Not nearly what is claimed. Problem is now you created turbulence. Turbulence is the enemy
