Caution: Rancho 9000's

I've been seeing a lot of comments on the Ranch 9000 shocks and I agree with all of them. I've had them for over 5 years and am very happy with them.

But a word of advice, if you buy them with the in-cab adjustment make SURE the mechanic gives you the manual adjustment knobs. They often forget and believe me you might need them someday. I found out the hard way. On my trip to Rubicon the ranchos were having trouble staying at the 4 setting and pretty soon the rancho compresor gave out leaving the shocks dialed in at 1 which is the softest setting. My rig was way overloaded and with the swaying I managed to break a Radius arm on the second day out. But thats a whole other story. The message is MAKE SURE YOU GET THE MANUAL KNOBS IF YOU INSTALL THE IN-CAB ADJUSTMENT.
Happy Trails
Tom
