cd changer swap

i have a 98 sport with the 6 disc changer, i was wondering if my friend with a 96 4 door that only has a cassette deck could use the changer in their X and how hard would it be to install, do i need any extra parts?

You would need to supply him with the harness. Though, I'm not totally sure the Cassette HU has the 10/12 (forgot) pin plug has a place in the back for it. I'd check and make sure. I doubt it will though knowing there's no CD player in the deck already. Worth a shot of course.
