ive had my pioneer cdx-fm653 cd changer in my truck for over 4 years and have had no troubles with it until now. i have the changer in the back cargo area (probably not the smartest idea). anyway, the display cable for the remote control was pinched and severed in between the folding panel that folds down when you put the back seats down. the cable was severed and i tried to splice it back together without success. at first i thought it was just an extension cable for the display, but it is not. the cable outlet from the cd changer is a 5-pin connector and the cable coming from the display is an s-video connector. i think the 5th pin might be a ground, but im not sure. i asked radio shack and they said you'll have to go buy a new cable from pioneer. does anyone know why it goes from 5-pins to 4-pins and where i might be able to get a replacement? thanks.
