You want to remove the Pioneer and replace the OEM? As long as you remove the Pioneer harness, and you have no aftermarket amps connected to the Pioneer harness... Is there something missing? Was the OEM harness cut?

sounds like he either ditched his factory unit when he got the pioneer or it had the pioneer when he bought it. You can swap just make sure if your factory plug is still intact that it matches whatever factory unit you use. I know that the 97 plug is different than an 02 plug. You would probably be better and cheaper if you just leave the pioneer in.

the x had a 6 disc poineer in it but it was stolen when the last owner had it i put an expensive poineer deck in it but am selling the x and want to keep my nice deck and out an older on in it does still have all the factory plugs for the sub and amp and the rear stereo controls

well I suggest either finding a same year model at a junk yard or going to wal mart and get a cheap dual HU to put in I believe they have one for like 45 that is flashy. can you post a pic of your factory plug and I will cross reference with my 95 plug. But I do know that a friend tried to put my 95 factory HU in his 02 and it didn't match

i got a HU out of a 01 sport but its not the upgraded system like what i have. how would ii wire the amp and sub into the fact HU

sorry forgot to tell you that part i think all you have to do is splice the wires that go to the amp to the main harness behind the HU not sure on colors but connect the amp turn on wire to the ignition wire and connect the other 2 wires to a set of speaker wires right at the stock wiring harnnes cant be to difficult just have to get the amp turned on and got an audio signal to it

ok thanks man

what do the amp wires go to the positive or negative wires

the power from the amp connect to the 12v ignition, the 2 other amp wires connect to the positive and negetive of a set of speaker wire on the harnnes

i got it all hooked up wow the bass is amazing except the speaker i hooked it to makes all the speakers sound like they have very little treble. So if you jsut move the balance and stuff you can even it out till it sounds good

im glad it worked out ok and was not to much of a pain now everything works like it did from the factory, like you said just adjust the base and treble till it sounds the way you want. now it is just time to sale the beast huh

ha lol yeah its great thanks a lot
