any idea what kind of backspacing I should have for this? dana 60 front axle shortened to the width of a stock explorer front end, with a 3 link and coilovers. axle height will match a sprung over dana 60 in the rear, with 4" superlift springs and warrior shackles. Hannemann front fenders, 3" body, 01 sport. Is it possible to run 40's on this setup if I locate the axle a little more forward than stock? must be a narrow axle for legality.

if the axle is the same width as stock, then obviously your backspacing will be close to the same as stock - regardless of what axle you have under there (dana 35, 44, or 60). The only thing that would make a difference would be the tire width since 40's are typically 13.5" or wider.
