CEL Issue

[Firefighter 5.0]

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here so I just want to say hi, but I have a problem and I don't know how bad it really is. I was driving to work yesterday and I noticed my check engine light had turned on, but I didn't really pay attention to it. Today after letting it sit overnight, I started it up and again it turns on and it won't turn off. I did some reading on the 911 area, but I'm not 100% sure if it's the EGR getting messed up from carbon build-up (which i doubt due to use of 95 octane premium for the last 6-7 months). It's not a major issue just yet, but I just want to hear some feedback if anyone else had this pop up before.

P.S. Truck still seems to run fine however transmission seems to hesitate more when shifting then it previously did.

I take it you are suspecting the egr because you had the code read. If so letting us know the code would help us know how to help you.
