I had my CEL scanned at Auto Zone and wrote down the code.. but I lost the paper. Anyway, it was like P0483 or something. :p Said something about the Torque Converter Solenoid. The truck seems to run fine. I've erased the code a couple times and it keeps coming back. I also cleaned the connections on the tranny harness. Still came back. Any ideas?

Okay, I finally went and got it read again (and wrote it down too :p ). Anyway, it's a P0743 Torque Converter Circuit. There's only about 5 threads on this site with 'P0743' mentioned and they're all 4.0s.

Dogfriend.. you have a chart for the 4r70ws?? :D

Any ideas? Truck seems to run fine. Fluid is fine too.

Are you getting TC lockup ?

ps. I have the 2 set factory manual for the 4R70W if you need some reference.

I think so. :D

I haven't noticed anything different from before the CEL came on.

I'm coming to Sac this weekend. Can you take delivery of your trans?

PO0743 connotes TC solenoid electrical.

How are your rpms at 60 mph?

I have TC solenoid for the 4R70W you can have if you want to try and swap it out. Or we can hook up the trans tester when you are down here with the donor (g). If you want to swap in a different VB I can swap ya for the one that comes out. I have one partially modded.

What time this weekend? I had plans to go to the mtns but could delay my departure, or if ya wanted to wait have more time next weekend.

I have another spare tranny (besides the one I am giving you) that I can rob parts from also. It's just the one I have on has the AA adpater and output shaft in it. So I can't just swap out the whole unit.

If next weekend is better, I am flying out of SMF friday night, and coming home Monday. So if any of those two days would work...

I'll check my 60mph rpms right now..

maybe we can work something out next weekend and I can have your Ex and fix the TC solenoid to pay you back for the 4R70W donor, and save ya some airport parking
