For the old timey towel holder you might try hittin salvation army or value village or any of the other second hand shops those places are a gold mine for obscure crap like that. if you do anything to the console please take pics! :)

i tried the Salvation Army and goodwill, hell even tried ebay, all wanted out the... so i think im gonna make my own, make it from some chrome parts

it took this long to find 4" speakers, then i didnt even find any! 3.5" speakers are what i found, and i cut a hole for 4" hmmm... havta fix that, i didnt want junk from wal mart, the lighting audio, lol. so i had to buy from eBay, be here soon, more pics then, sorry for the delay!

i got 6 1/2's in the doors of my chevy and they are "road master" 3 way speakers.they take 200 watts and hooked to my fosgate amp they do remarkablily good and sound great for $20 ....best 20 i ever spent on speakers at wal-mart.

i thought WalMart used to carry more then one brand, but this one only had Lighting Audio... and they blow way to easy, Meijer (a wal mart type of store up here) had some never heard of brand, so i didnt wanna pay 39.99, ended up with Boss 200 watt 3.5" speakers, on there way, YAY

I got an entire setup of Pioneer stuff at WalMart, dash unit and speakers. But, I did have to go to Circuit City to get the iPod controller.

Oh, and BTW, you guys are WAY to harsh! You don't want to see any part of the rug in my 94. It's a bleeping TRUCK after all, isn't it???!!!

Mike

i got lucky with the ipod, my cd player has an aux line input - red/white audio input; so i took a four foot red/wht audio line up under the console etc, hooked that into a red/wht convert to 3.5mm jack, hooked that into the top of the 80 g ipod port, works like a charm, plus already had all the stuff laying around,

i tried Best Buy/Circuit City they had nothing under 5.25", i could have went Volfenhag and kept it all the same, but decided not to

Volfenhag HU
Volfenhag 5.25" Upfront
Volfenhag 5.25" middle doors
Volfenhag 6x9 in cargo
Volfenhag 800 Watt Amp
Volfenhag 1.5 farad Cap

i figured since i got older that i would stop buying amps and stuff and just use the stuff i had from the past till that equipment stopped working but lucky for me my fosgate 360.6 amp is still going strong .....not a bad amp considering it was made in 1997 ,that makes it 11 years old .

those are the stock pic of the lil speakers i bought, be here in a couple days, i was thinking the other day. sitting in the McyDs parking lot while two of the kids were complaining... If i wasnt going to put cups in the new extension, i would hae capd off the heater vent beside the 4x4 push buttons, ran it behind the radio down to the new extension, through it and out the back (close to the floor) of the factory center console, so they would have rear heat, be a killer selling advantage to... 93 X with rear heat! lol, but i like cold drinks, so now I cant do that.

i think mine came with a heated duct under the console...i know theres a vent right behind it on the floor .was that only on the 94's ?

mine has that little vent.. which doesnt do much at all if anything. my 97 has rear climate controls with its own blower and set of controls. helps thaw out the leather b4 you jump in the back. unexpectedly sitting on cold leather seats isnt nice.

Mine has the little vent as well. But it's probably such a small ducting that nothing gets back there. I say if they want rear heat, put in some seat warmers. albeit very light ones because they're kids, dont' want to burn themselves.

I'm looking into remote start for my Explorer. I hate getting in a cold vehicle more then anything, and with gas prices on the way down, idon't mind letting it sit for a few minutes warming up.

I have a 91 and mine has the rear vent under the console, and there right it does not really put much heat out!
