On my recently aquired '97 E/B I was not able to fully close and latch the center console. The two latches appeared to be stuck closed. I finally pulled them out and disassembled them, but I can't figure out how to put the spring/plunger assembly back in the housing to make the thing work properly. I assume people have run across this before, but I cound't find much by searching. Here is a picture of the two latches with the spring assembly removed:

I have to say I've never ran into that- usually the grabbers on the armrest door break off- can't say I've ever seen the receives go bad... Sorry I'm no help...

Oh god I ripped the passenger side one out of my 95, it didnt wanna move at all, causing the arm rest to be crooked LOL but now I have ones and it works :D

I may just leave the spring and bits out and put the main piece back in on both sides. It seems to work just fine that way. It closes all the way and works better than with nothing there.

Skip- would pics of mine assembled help at all?

That would probably be very helpful...thanks!

It's possible I'm missing a part, but nothing looks broken.
