Where is the sensor to turn this light on/off? Ive noticed when the lid is closed the light stays on.

A very good question. I checked mine and don't see any kind of switch/button. So my guess is that it comes ON when the vehicle doors are opened and stays ON until the vehicle is turned OFF and then the Battery Saver feature turns it OFF after 10 minutes. I didn't feel like sitting in the vehicle for 10 minutes to verify that.

There isn't one. It is on while the vehicle is on

No actually they come on when I get in the car at night and need to get something out from the glovebox, center console or armrest storage. They may even be on during the daytime but not noticeable of course.

Thanks for the write up and pictures. Installed this evening. Probably would not have thought of it were it not for this thread. Sure helps having a light in such a deep hole!

Even though I have the light in my console, I also always carry this.
