I was removing my CD changer in a 95 Eddie Bauer and found an RJ-45 jack in the center console. Does anyone know what it is used for?

If I had to guess I'd say for the CD changer?
I've never had a cd changer or anything like that before, so I don't know.

Picture?

Car Phone.....it was an available Dealer Option in the 90's...

Yes. Now I remember. Phones used to be mounted and wired into cars, and had those little antenna sticking out of the roof. I had one once. The handset had a key pad and was wired to a mounting pedestal with a coiled cord like my kitchen phone.

Oh yeah, my nephew had something similar in his Suburban.

I was hoping it was some sort of diagnostic tool jack.

So there is a cellular transceiver somewhere in my Exp?
