Hi, im a new member living in Spain. Can anyone tell me how to disable the automatic locking when driving off. I had an explorer in England and I was able to disable this function (using the manual). Unfortunately my manual is in Spanish , but even so it doesnt seem to show this option.

The model is a 2000 XLT

Can anyone help, its driving me crazy!!!!

Thanks.......Phill Atkinson

To deactivate, you must complete steps 1 - 5 with 30 seconds or it won't work. All doors must be shut also.

1) Turn the ignition key from off to on/acc
2) Press the power door UNLOCK three times
3) Turn the ignition key from on/acc to off.
4) Press the power door UNLOCK three times.
5) Turn the ignition key from off to on/acc. The horn will chirp if the diable/enable was entered.
6) Press the power door UNLOCK one time
7) Press the power door LOCK control to toggle on or off. If you get a chirp followed by another long honk it's enabled. If you get no honk it's off.
8) Turn the igntion off
