Chang Head Unit on 98 XLT?

Hi, I have a 98 XLT with premium sound package including the cd changer. I would like to change the head unit and I was wondering if there were any manufacturers that I would be able to still use the same cd changer.

From everything I've found out about the premium and Mach audio sytems is that they cannot be changed out with any aftermarket brands and still be able to use cd changer or steering wheel controls. The only possible upgrade that will work is to replace it with the oem unit that plays MP3's, but if you have the sub in the rear it will not longer work. Speakers in these units are supposed to be matched perfectly to the head unit and replacing them with aftermarket speakers will likely not have a noticeable difference. Add an amp and nice subs for listening pleasure.
