Changed Cruise buttons - now not working

My 97 Eddie Bauer 5.0 had busted rubber on the cruise buttons. Cruised still worked. Picked up a new set, installed them yesterday. Now my cruise doesn't work. Is there a test procedure, or picture of the ribbons that plug in, I've tried them both ways incase I flipped one on accident. I NEED my cruise.

FYI I had the right hand harness flipped, turned it over, all is well.
