Changes in the Sport for 2003?

Hi,

I've been hearing rumors that the 2003 Explorer Sport is going to offer some major changes to include a choice between ControlTrac 4x4 or AWD in
addition to the optional v8. Has anyone heard
otherwise or of any other changes for '03?

I don't think they can fit a V8.

Well, they could fit an old-style 5.0 in the Sport, but not the new 4.6L V8.

As for the rumors, I don't believe them. They just redesigned it in 2001, why again in 2003? Maybe you heard rumors about the future of the Sport; maybe 2004 or 2005, when it may become the new Bronco.

yeah I really doubt, that they are gonna do any changes to the sport this year.

AWD is not available on the Sport. But, AWD is available on the 2003 Explorer 4-door with the SOHC 4.0L V6 and the 4.6L V8.

Why won't the 4.6L fit in the Sport?
My logic is that is the 5.0L fits.....

the 4.6 modular V8 is about 30% wider and taller than the 5.0. Those things are huge!!!
