I was just wondering how to change an a/c condenser. I'm only 17 and don't know too much about this but i figured since my compressor won't engauge it must be my condenser. I have 91 explorer sitting at home rite now and my 94 doesnt have a/c so i was going to swap the condenser off the 91 to the 94! I just need some help on how to do it and i would rather do it myself so i can learn!

Please Help!
thanks Corey

First off, your condensor is NOT the likely culprit here. To start, I'm going to suggest you go to the Useful Threads forum and read the thread on "Converting Your AC etc.." That thread and the links in it will give you a good understanding of how the system works, and an idea of where to start in your quest. It's kind of a primer on auto AC. Once you've done that we can try and work it through with you.

Second that. AC work isn't something anyone should undertake without a) formal training or b) someone showing him the ropes personally. You're dealing with 200 psi gas circulating in pipes and hoses that have to be "surgical" clean for the system to work right.

Sorry to discourage you; rather, think of it as encouragement to find someone nearby who is willing to help you learn.
