I want to change the bulbs on the front dome light on my 99 ex. I have removed the cover and find the housing of the bulbs but do not know how to remove the stock ones. i tried pulling them out but they almost seemed ready to break.

do you have the center console or just a domelight?

its the center console with the temp display

there are two bulbs in there, one that faces the passenger and one that faces the driver. Twist the housing counter clock wise and they come straight out

I just went to replace the same lights.

I found that one plug is missing. No bulb, no grey plastic piece. SO my first question is, where can I get another plug?

The other one, I replaced the bulb, but I think i screwed it up. There doesnt appear to be anything metallic touching the bulb, so I cant see how it would work. There was a blub in this one, which was burnt out so i removed it. I ended up breaking part of the bulb while taking it out. I put a new bulb into the plug, but didnt expect it to work. It doesnt. What did I do wrong here? I think I probably need two new plugs.

Check out the junk yards. Aldive got some from FordPartsNetwork or maby he got the whole light. Not sure but a search on his posts would turn it up.

What size bulb is that in the console map light things?
