changing power steering rack

okay , so i have been searching for a while in the forums now,,


anybody got a link to a post on how to change the rack and pinion unit, ????

i was hoping there is pictures , i have not got under there yet to look , but it would be nice to know what i am up against,

it a 96 with the 4 liter ohv,

I just had mine changed out at the shop, it looked like a royal pain to do. If you got a lift, good air tools, and a tire alignement capabilities, oh forget it. I paid $450 for mine to be replaced with a new one, from what I hear, thats a good price. I asked about this last month, and someone said they were charged $750. O'reilys auto parts has a rebuilt for $112. Try a search in tech.
