Changing the gauge light color?

I remember seeing posting/how-to somewhere about how to change the light up color of the gauges on our trucks. I can't for the life of me find the how-to again though. It involves cutting the gauge cluster and scratching off the paint and then repainting it with transparent paint. I searched through so many postings on here and I just can't find it. It must have been active/new around last July or August because thats when I bought the supplies to do this. Can someone help me out?

Were you talking about the radio one? Thats the only one that I could find that was close but its still not what I am looking for.

The main instrument cluster shouldn't be too much different.

The gauge cluster requires it to be cut open with a blade if I remember correctly. There are also some other differnt techniques required that aren't described in those how-tos. Since I can't find the how-to I might just do it myself and make a new how-to for everyone. I should have time to get around to doing it over the holiday weekend coming up.

That is not the exact one I was thinking of but its close enough. The other one had alot more pictures and went through step by step and was very detailed.

that is for installing reverse glow gauges but you can use the beginging of it
