changing the look of my x

i want to get rid of the tan on my 91 eddie b. whats the best way to change the moldings? paint them? replace them with new ones? if new how much am i looking at to buy them and from where?

Also anyone who has a billet grille on the same style as mine, are they a pita?

One more thing before I go, where can i buy clear tail lenses?

hey bates....i once looked into buying new moldings and for a sport they are like 157 for the rears and 100 for the front two peices ......and thats per side!!! just take them off and have a body shop match the paint and paint them....that would be the cheapest way to do it.....you still have to paint new ones.

cool...thanks for the advice! what about using the tiny cans of spray paint? how do you think that would turn out on the plastic pieces, since theyre textured?

the only problem w/ doing that is the color wont match exactly...you will have real shiny plastic and then your paint on the car will look dull.....its a 91 right?.....i think you should have it sprayed by a body shop.....it wont be that expensive if you take the pieces to them....you will have to drive your car there so that their paint mixing computer can match your car exactly....shouldnt cost more than 200 bucks....and it will stick and be even

also, you must be careful when painting plastic, plastic is flexible and must have a flex agent in it.... metal doesnt need this agent as it is not flexible....
