another quick couple of questions from the uk. firstly can i remove the charcoal cannister and associated pipework etc from the explorer, im from the uk and dont have the emissions worries some of your states. if so is there anything else i need to do bar just removing the cannister etc. secondly at the rear of the explorer on the inner rear quarter panel there is 2 large electrical boxes, 1 is for the keyless entry/immobiliser, the other is a relay box, what does this relay box power up, i have a uk spec haynes workshop book but it is a bit vague with the electrical harness on my 99 4.0 v6 sohc. im doing a body swap with a 59 ford f100 flareside and its gonna be a bit of a hot rod so trying to remove as much crap as i can off the thing. thanks

I suggest keeping all of the fuel system items, the two charcoal canisters absorb fuel vapors and help keep them from escaping and smelling noticeably in hot weather.
