I have a 93 sport. I replaced the battery after it died And the truck ran well for a couple days then the charging light came on and the charging needle would peg out upon acceleration. I checked voltage at the battery and had 11.98 volts with the engine off and the same when the engine was running. I assumed the alternator was bad and purchased a new one. I wanted to upgrade from 95 to 130 amp anyway. After installing the new one it acts the same way. I took it back and had it tested on the bench and they told me it was good. Is there a fuse or fusible link I am missing? Can anyone help?
Thanks Gene

Check your wiring..Got have one grounded, broken or corroded..It may take a while, and it my be broken within the insulation, but check it good...
