Cheap 4x4 shift motors

Just FYI, I have seen quotes on this board of $!80 to $300 for a replacement 1st gen 4x4 electric shift motor assembly. I just looked on Advance Auto Parts site and they have them for $116 - $170 (for an updated one). If I can't get mine working I'm going to get one there.

Advanced auto is selling you a used motor for that price, correct?
Not a bad deal, but be aware it is probably a used motor, not rebuilt or refurbished.
You can find used motors in SOME junk yards from time to time for $25-50.
Some yards these are the first things to go.

No sir! Look here...the Cardone is remanuf. and upgraded...looks like the Dorman is new.
