I have a 1996 Explorer and want to know the best way to lift it (about 4 inches) without paying out the butt (preferably less than $1000, if it can be done). please respond with ideas, and brands of kits or good places to find the new IFS explorer lifts, because all i ahve found are $1500 kits (excluding installation) and $130 body lift kits, which i heard are not good to have solely. please help with suggestions, because i am sure yall know a lot more about this than i do.

thanks

Well...you can get Warrior's WAR-153 shackles for around $50. Do the Torsion Twist for free. And then a 2" Body lift for aroun $80. Total out of pocket for 4" around $130. Feeling good about your newly lifted X PRICELESS.

i may sound ignorant saying this, but where do i get the torsion twist for free? also i looked around on the warrior web page and didnt see WAR153. i guess you have to call for that, or are they not making the kit anymore? thanks for the ideas.

Please do a search on the torsion twist. There are probably over 100 threads concerning this topic.
