Cheapest lift options

I have a little cash in the bank, and have decided to lift the ole' exploder. I was thinking of going with both spindles, TT (i'm assuming that means over-torque the torsion arms) and shackles/add a leaf. Where does a guy get a deal on all of this?

I got my shackles from Desertrat they are $49.95 + $14 shipping.. there in AZ and im in NY so if your closer it would be less.. but they are heavy.. they were great.. fast shipping.. and verry helpfull... the part # is WAR153

P.S. the shackles are not on there site.. you have to call them... just tell them you have an explorer and they will know what u need... agin the part # is WAR153

i am assuming you have a 4x2? if you have a 4x4 you cant do the spindles

Yeah... 4x2 Just doin it for fun really. Anyplace that has spindles for cheap?

i dont know... spindles arent cheap.... they are however, a lot cheaper than a 4x4 lift for the newer Xs

This isn't suspension... but another option. Anyone make fiberglass fenders that have larger wheel well openings? thanks for the shackle info Jim.

Shagnasty- Fabtech makes both lifted spindles and fiberglass fenders for Rangers so surely they do for the explorer. The fenders that I have seen from them have a larger wheel opening and a flared out pre-runner look, which would probably look pretty good on an X. Hope this helps you out.

Shackles

Are the shackles sold in pairs/sets? I'm assuming they are. I just get confused when they ask the quantity I want. I found them here. I hope this isn't a stupid question.

one pair will lift one end of your vehicle .
