Hey guys, Newer member here and I had posted something in the new member area regarding the intermittent "check charging system" light. I know many of us experience it and thought I would share what I think is a remedy. If this is the place to post it, let me know. Thanks all and I appreciate all the help I've been able to get from this site.

This seems like a good place.
I have read here that these cars are very picky about the quality of their battery.
My personal procedure for checking the charging system is to attach my volt meter to the battery terminals and see what the voltages are...with the engine not running and again while running. But then, I'm an electronics nerd. The voltages tell me a lot.

Thats definitely the way to go, but for this particular issue, the battery and alt are fine. Its a issue of something not grounded right or loose. Not sure if you were able to find my original post, or if its attached to this forum. Not sure how that all works. If not, let me know and I'll explain what I found.

I'm lost. I can't see any post about grounds or a link to that post.

I saw that bolt when my thermostat housing leaked, and worse...the windshield wiper cowling leaked and rain water poured on top of the engine.

So, thanks for telling me the symptoms that will show up if that connection goes wonky.
